Adrian Dunbar

Adrian Dunbar was born on August 1, 1958 in Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, to a construction foreman.  He was the eldest of 7 children.  His first job was as an Abattoir (pork slaughterhouse).

His first gig, at 16, was playing  bass guitar for Elvis impersonator Frank Chisholm. He came by acting almost by accident.  He took up a job at a local theatre to help them with their lighting, when one of the actors took ill, he was in.  He studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He is married to Australian actress Anna Nygh.
