Amy Allen

Amy Allen was born on October 24, 1976 in Burbank, CA ("Beautiful downtown Burbank" as Johnny Carson used to say) and was raised in the San Fernando Valley, California until she was two years old.  Then her family moved to Agoura Hills, CA.   She was part of an entertainment oriented family, her grandfather (paternal), Heck Allen, was a gag writer for MGM studios and a serious Western writer.  Amy's grandmother was in Gone With The Wind and her grandfather (maternal) was a musician.

 Amy attended Agoura High School in California. At 18 she moved to San Francisco to attend San Francisco State University (got a Bachelor of Arts degree in film), studying cinema, and was hired (just after graduating) at ILM (production assistant CGI artist).   She was working on The Phantom Menace when Lucas asked her to play a part IN the film itself.

Amy isn't entirely sure that she wants to pursue the acting part of the film industry, but she did give up her position at ILM in June of 2002 to promote Star Wars and ILM around the world at conventions.  She says that she would like work towards production at some point.
