C. Andrew Nelson

Nelson for the photograph and updated information!
C. Andrew Nelson was born on
June 22, 1962.
Nelson worked at LucasArts
Entertainment Company (1993 - 1998), he was a visual effects supervisor and
senior artist. Nelson then made a shift to Industrial Light & Magic
(1998 - 2002) where he was a rotoscoper, matte painter, compositor and texture
artist. Additionally, Nelson was a stand-up comic and a magician.
From 2002 to 2004, after
leaving ILM, Nelson taught full-time as the Visual Effects Lead for the
Computer Arts Department at the Academy of Art University in San
Francisco.
Nelson currently works for
several divisions of Lucasfilm: Lucasfilm
Ltd., Lucas Learning, Lucas Licensing, THX and when not working for
Lucasfilm he is a consulting VFX supervisor and art director for some of the top
effects, animation and post-production facilities in the country and is a
consulting art director for KTSF TV (largest Asian language station in the US)
Nelson is married, Veronica, and has two
children. They live in the San Francisco area.
