Hal Wamsley

Hal Wamsley was born on November 20, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, US.    He started his acting when he was six years old.  He has worked behind and in front of the camera.  He was 15, going on 16, and standing on 4' 8" tall, when he played the small part of head Jawa, Dathcha, in Star Wars: A New Hope.  While Jack Purvis did all the head Jawa scenes in Tunisia, Hal played the same part that was filmed in Death Valley.

Wamsley is also a writer and has worked on two screenplays, one a science fiction comedy and the other a hack-and-slash horror film (which he is also directing and producing).

Hal currently heads customer service at Light Speed Fine Art and makes guest appearances at conventions. 

Until recently Wamsley lived in Southern California with his wife, Amy, daughter Jessica, their cats and a bird.  Amy passed away in 2003.

Wamsley is now remarried.
