Jay
Laga'aia

Jay Laga'aia was born on September 10, 1963 in Auckland, North
Island, New Zealand. His parents are Samoan (born in Samoa) and he has
eight brothers and sisters (he's the fifth eldest and the fourth youngest).
He and his brothers and sisters were raised in New Zealand but Laga'aia was
offered citizenship in Australia (he works there quite a bit), which he accepted
(on Australia Day 1999), his parents and siblings still reside in New Zealand
and he still considers himself a Kiwi.
He sings, dances and plays many instruments, including:
guitar, bass, percussion, saxophone, harmonica, and the clarinet.
Jay and his wife
Sandie have four children, Matthew, Iosefa, Jessica, and Nathaniel. Jay also has
an older son, Jeremy, from a previous relationship.
