Joe
Alaskey

Sketch of Mr. Alaskey by
L. Mangue
Joe Alaskey got his start as a stand-up impressionist and worked on a Boston morning radio
show, Bill Scott (and June Forey) were guests on one of the shows. Bill
Scott recognized that Joe had a great voice and brought him back to Hollywood
with him. He
is now one of the most employed voice actors there are today and one of the only
currently employed voice actors by Warner Bros. to do all the famous characters.
Joe has an
incredible ear for voices and how to re-create them, he took over many of the
voices that Mel Blanc was doing for Warner Brothers Cartoons. The scope of
his mastery is nearly undetectable in The Honeymooner's Lost Episodes, where
some portions of "Ralph Kramden's" voice were lost due to technical
problems...Joe Alaskey was the one to re-create the character's voice.
