Kiran Shah

Kiran Shah was born on September 28, 1956 in Nairobi, Kenya where he was also raised.  His brother is Hasmukh Shah, a producer. When Shah was twelve years old his family moved to Delhi, India, for a year or so, then due to his father's health considerations the family moved to London.

Shah knew from a young age that he wanted to be an actor.  While attending Feltham Boundaries school Shah came across an audition ad for the Red Buddha Theatre Company in a magazine (Time Out) and with the encouragement of his brother  he went for the audition and got a part for clown/mime in a production of Man From the East.  Feltham Boundaries gave their blessings letting the young man tour with the theatre company for 3 months in Italy (allowing him to skip his O level mock exams).  He never looked back.

Shah has been a poet since he was fifteen years old and has had more than ten poems published.
