[1]A prom (2001) with the Star Wars theme
[2] English literature professor Anne Lancashire assigned homework, ' see Fight Club or the 'original' version of The Empire Strikes Back'
[3] A high school in Australia offers a class in Star Wars.
[4] For Homecoming last year at my school the theme was sci-fi movies, and our class picked SW. Our was "May the '04's be with you." The classes have to put on a skit, and ours was hilarious! We had "Darth Logger" (name of the opposing team) and "Master Kay" (a paraphrase of one of the teacher's names) "Toyoda" and lots of bad puns. The final fight scene was the best; we played "Kung Fu Fighting" in the background! (thanks to Darklighter86 for this reference!)
[5] my school has made a lot. In civics my teacher had a review sheet in star wars lines and stuff. During homecoming skit night the seniors had a Yoda and master Statinoff (a former graduate who was on the football team) plus Austin Powers. and my history teacher always tries to pull Jedi mind tricks so I just yell lines back at him. (thanks to purpleangel2086 for this life reference!)
[6] During my history class, my teacher always refers to the Dark Side and Stormtroopers (yeah in Germany) but always makes references (thanks to Jedi_Master_StarHawk for this life reference!)
[7] My karate teacher once tried to explain chi to us by saying its like the force (my friend Megan glanced at me and I had to refrain from screaming "the force rules!" Oo....) (thanks to Chibi_Xandra for this life reference!)
[8] Academic discussion on catalogues - a researcher found a SW ref here: I often think that using a catalogue is like a Star Wars adventure. First of all you need the cunning of a Hans (sic) Solo and the brashness of a Luke Skywalker to find the catalogue. Next you need the services of C3P-O (sic) to identify the languages and protocols needed to gain entry to this particular key to the universe of knowledge. R2D2 is often needed as well to kick-start the machinery, thaw the screen-freeze and change the paper-carrier. Finally the user needs the services of a Wookiee to gain the attention of a member of staff, to bludgeon his way to the location, and escape with the spoils. Meanwhile, the Nemesis in the form of Darth Vader is ever-present waving library regulations, keeping books off the shelves, and obstructing the free flow of information. And the emperor of the Dark Side - he hides in the Cataloguing Office, while Obi Ben Kenobi (sic), the Force for good, is at a meeting, or reading this!  (it's off a little, but, it's a ref!)
[9] Bethel College Fountain Apts - an event called The Star Wars Mafia
[10] University of Western Ontario (Canada) this reference was lost
[11] Texas Tech University -  Offering the course: "May the Force Be With You: the Star Wars Phenomena" March 2004 by Robert Weiner.
[12] ITLL.Colorado.edu - for use with courses "May the Force be with you" Demonstration: Engineering
[13] Kindergarten science Colorado: May the Force Be With You: A Unit on Magnets
[14]
[15] cliffsnotes.com - The Teacher Strikes Back Aug 6, 2004 teachers in the fight against plagiarism (by students)
[16] MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) - May 17, 1999 - MIT "hacks" turned the Great Dome (on the MIT campus) into a giant replica of R2D2:
